What is kaleien?

Kaleien is in fact a painting technique (lime painting) in which a layer of lime plaster is applied to the masonry (or walls) with a brush. Lime paint can be applied on top of this lime layer, which will determine the color of your facade. This provides a better view and better protection against wind and weather.
